Storm damage, missing tiles, a fallen branch or water pouring through the ceiling: call 07733 236110. We cover emergencies across Bristol, Bath and the towns in between, for homes and commercial buildings.
We make the roof safe and watertight first, then quote in writing for the permanent repair. See emergency roof repair and insurance roof repairs.
We are a local roofing team working on homes right across Bristol. Most of our work is roof repair: finding where water is getting in, replacing slipped and broken tiles, sorting tired lead flashing and making storm damage safe. When a roof really is past saving, we will tell you straight and quote for a full roof replacement instead.
Bristol housing keeps us on our toes. Georgian slate in Clifton, long rows of Victorian terraces in Bedminster and Southville, 1930s semis in Henleaze and Brislington, and flat-roofed extensions just about everywhere. Each type fails in its own way, so we know where to look first.
Every job starts with a proper look at the roof and a clear written quote. If a small repair will do, that is what we recommend.
No jargon and no pressure. Here is what happens after you get in touch.
Call, WhatsApp or use the form at the top of the page. A photo of the roof or the damp patch helps us understand the job before we visit.
We check the roof properly, explain what we found in plain English and give you a written quote with nothing hidden.
We carry out the work, check it over, clear up after ourselves and show you exactly what we have done.
From one slipped tile to a complete new roof, these are the jobs Bristol homeowners call us about most. Every service covers the whole city and the surrounding BS postcodes.
Water stains on the ceiling or damp in the loft usually start somewhere you cannot see from the ground. We trace the leak to its source, whether that is flashing, a valley, a cracked tile or perished felt, and fix the cause rather than the symptom.
When repairs stop making sense, we strip the old covering and fit a new roof with breathable membrane, fresh battens and new tiles or slate. We explain every option and what each one costs before you decide.
Not sure what is wrong up there? A drone survey gives you close-up photos of your roof, chimney and gutters with no ladders or scaffold, so you can see the problem for yourself before any work is agreed.
Bristol has thousands of slate roofs on Victorian and Georgian homes. We replace slipped slates, re-slate tired roofs and keep the original character of period properties in places like Clifton, Redland and Cotham.
Whatever is wrong with your roof, one call covers it. Alongside roof repairs and new roofs, we handle:
Explore our three main services: residential roofing for homes, commercial roofing for offices, warehouses and landlords, and every roofing system we install and repair, from slate and tile to EPDM, single ply and industrial metal roofs.
We work all over the city, from the steep terraced streets of Totterdown to the big Victorian villas of Redland and the 1930s semis of Henleaze and Westbury-on-Trym. Pick your area for local roofing information:

Bristol roofs are as mixed as its streets, and knowing the housing stock is half the job. Victorian terraces in Bedminster, Southville, Easton and Totterdown often have original slate with worn valleys and chimneys that need repointing. Rear extensions and loft dormers in Bishopston and Horfield bring flat roofs that crack, blister and pond water. In Clifton, Redland and Cotham, period homes need slate and lead repaired with care, and sometimes with conservation rules in mind.
Further out, the 1930s and post-war semis of Henleaze, Brislington, Knowle and Filton usually have concrete interlocking tiles, where slipped tiles, cracked ridge mortar and tired fascias are the common call-outs.
No sales pitch. Just the standards we hold every job to, whether it is a single tile or a brand new roof.
If a repair will do, we will say so. We would rather fix the real problem for a fair price than talk you into a new roof you do not need.

It depends on the type of roof, how easy it is to reach and what is actually wrong. A few slipped tiles is a small job, while a failed valley or chimney flashing takes longer and may need scaffold. We give you a fixed written quote after looking at the roof.

Yes. If water is coming in or storm damage has left your roof open, call us. We make it safe and watertight first, then arrange a permanent repair. Read more about emergency roof repairs in Bristol.
Most roofs can be repaired. Replacement starts to make sense when tiles or slates are failing across the whole roof, the felt underneath has perished, or leaks keep appearing in different places. We will tell you honestly which side of that line your roof is on. Our roof replacement page explains what a new roof involves.
For most extensions, garages and dormers we recommend EPDM rubber or GRP fibreglass. Both last far longer than old-style felt and need very little maintenance. Our flat roof repair page compares the options.
All of Bristol and Bath and the towns in between, including Clifton, Redland, Bedminster, Henleaze, Kingswood, Brislington, Southville, Bishopston, Easton, Horfield, Fishponds, Totterdown, the city centre, Keynsham and every part of Bath. See every area we cover.
Like-for-like repairs usually do not need planning permission. Changing materials, adding roof windows or altering the shape of a roof in a conservation area, or on a listed building, may need consent from Bristol City Council. If your home is affected, we flag it before any work starts.
Many policies cover sudden storm damage but not general wear and tear, so check your policy first. We can inspect the roof and record the damage with photos and a written report to support your claim. Find out more about insurance roof repairs.
No. Roofing is not a licensed trade in the UK, so anyone can call themselves a roofer. Trade bodies and schemes such as the National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC), TrustMark and CompetentRoofer are voluntary, so always ask for a written quote, proof of public liability insurance and recent references. More answers on our roofing FAQs page.
BS 5534 is the British Standard code of practice for slating and tiling. Since its 2014 revision, every single-lap tile must be mechanically fixed and ridge and hip tiles can no longer rely on mortar alone, which makes roofs far more secure in storms. Our repairs and new roofs follow it.
